- This week is a busy week! On Monday, we are having Vehicle Day. Vehicle Day is an extension of the career lessons with Ms. Mazzella. We will see inside a fire truck, police car, and school bus. We will also get a visit from Home Depot and the Parks and Recreation Department. Wednesday the local preschools will be visiting to learn about kindergarten and to take a tour of our school. Thursday will be Tie-dye day so please wear old clothes!
- Please do not send birthday invitations to school to be passed out. Please understand that this can cause hurt feelings for the friends who are not invited to the party. Thank you!
Language Arts, Science and Social Studies
For the next two weeks, we will be learning about seeds We will be learning about what seeds need to grow and the difference between living and non-living things. We will be reading various stories including Seeds, The Mystery of Seeds and Alive or Not Alive. We will continue to work on comprehension skills such as comparing and contrasting.
During writing workshop, we will continue our unit on opinion writing.
